Growing up I guess you would’ve called me the tomboy. Instead of picking flowers and wearing dresses, I preferred rolling around in the mud and playing ball with the boys. I lived for dissecting bugs and skinning my knees. So receiving flowers? Bleck. No.
I’m in my late twenties now, and time doesn’t seem to move as slow as it used to. Now, time is a rapid-fire, fast-paced rocket ship, and I’d do anything to slow it down. Turns out that buying yourself flowers is a pretty good way to do that, which means there’s a reason why the phrase “stop and smell the roses” is a thing.
There’s something that happens when you pick out flowers, especially from a local vendor or a farmer’s market. Stress is relieved, smiles form, and magic happens. If you think your soul might benefit from some fresh flowers (IT WILL) then be sure to check out KC Bloom Co. A good friend of mine recommended them to me and WHOA, my heart nearly lept out of my chest the first time I visited their cute mobile flower van.
If you’re local to KC, do yourself a favor and check out the best flower shop on wheels. I promise you won’t be disappointed!
I am a firm believer in this concept. It brightens up the room and just makes you feel cheery. Nothing like flowers to put a smile on your face.
Great post! I am a huge fan of having a vase of flowers on the dining room table of my apartment – I think it adds such a nice touch to the decor! 🙂 My favs right now have been the sunflowers I have been getting at my local farmers market. Thanks for sharing!

I’ll have to buy flowers more often for myself. It also looks as if I need to check out KC bloom.
That’s so amazing to have a flower shop on wheels! Thanks for the self-care reminder ❤ Flowers do make days more beautiful.
